Thanks to HotSauceTeddy

First of all I have to thank the main man himself, HotSauceTeddy. Without him none of this data coverage would have happened and he initiated it all after reaching out to me. Although he will not be returning, he did an amazing job that helped the game and players around the world. I’ll miss him and his work greatly but I always be grateful for everything he’s done. Teddy is the best!

Stats Disclaimer

Once again the standard caveats apply for the stats. All collated from BCP (Best Coast Pairings). If you don’t use BCP, just contact us with the details and we can add them in! Big thanks, as always, goes to my new stat man Smiles, Lies, Gunfire who’s collated all the data and who this wouldn’t be possible without! Remember, if you share the stats and images, just remember to credit him and me as it helps us both out.

Also as this is a huge stats update I won’t be able to go as in-depth as the video, comendium data won’t be included too as there is just so much to cover but it’ll be back in Februray!

July 2023 Stats

Remember we’re looking for a 45% to 55% winrate. Factions above 55% are over-performing and under 45% are under-performing. Chaos Cults take the lead for July followed by Blooded, HotA, Warp Coven and Inquisitorial Agents. For teams not performing that well we have: Hearthkyn, Exaction, Vet Guard, Kroot, Novitiates, Breachers, Hunter Clade and Hierotek.

Here we have the GT+ results data, events that are 16 or more players with 4 or more rounds.

August 2023 Stats

In another weird month, Heirotek take the lead with 65%, followed by Chaos Cult, Warp Coven, Kommandos, Phobos, and Wyrmblade. On the low side we have Hearthkyn, Corsairs, Fellgor, Kasrkin, Pathfinders and Kroot.

Once again here are the GT+ results.

September 2023 Stats

In September Troupe take the lead with 63% for their winrate and then only Blooded. For the lower end we have Hearthkyn, Kasrkin, Kroot, Exaction and Justian.

Once again here are the GT+ results.

October 2023 Stats

For October Chaos Cult are back in the lead with a 61% winrate and then only Kommandos with 57%. For under-perfoming teams we have: Corsairs, Hearthkyn, Hunter Clade and Pathfinders.

Once again here are the GT+ results.

November 2023 Stats

For November, the month of Worlds, Fellgor top-out at 65%, Chaos Cults at 65% then Novitiates, Gellerpox and Wyrmblade. Under-performing teams are only Justian and Pathfinders however!

Once again here are the GT+ results.

Q3 2023 Stats

For Q3 data, Chaos Cults took the lead at 59%, Blooded at 58%, Kommandos at 57%, Warp Coven at 57% with HotA and Troupe. Teams doing not so well are Corsairs, Hearthkyn, Kasrkin, Pathfinders, Kroot and Justian. Interesting when taken into account how the balance data-slate was done.

Once again here are the GT+ results.

December 2023 Stats

In December somehow Kroot top out at 64%. Troupe are at 64%, Fellgor at 62%, Blooded at 59%, Inq at 59%, and Novitiates at 59%. Only Heirotek, Kasrkin, and Hearthkyn are the low teams. December is an odd month as it’s mid-balance dataslate change so results will be a mix of pre and post chances.

Once again here are the GT+ results.

January 2024 Stats

With our first full month of post-dataslate changes and LVO 2024, Fellgor top out with 216 games and a 62% winrate, considering this is their second month of dominance, perhaps buff were not wise? Blades of Khaine also rock out at 144 games with a 60% winrate, which is quite weird as the faction did not do well at LVO and everyone feels the team is quite weak. Troupe also hit out at a 60% winrate with nearly 200 games while Chaos Cult get 58% although with only 67 games. Wyrmblade, Starstriders and Kommandos all hit 57% but what’s really worrying is how well Kommandos are doing with 438 games as they are now the most popular faction in the game.

For under-performing teams we only have Hearthkyn, Scout Squad, Breachers, Justian and Kroot. Real surprise here are Scout Squad and especially Breachers. Kroot have crashed down from last month’s odd blip whereas Hearthkyn continue to consistently under-perform overall.

When looking at podium data, Kommandos continue the trend of having the hugest number of podiums and undefeated players, towering over everyone else. Blades get 2nd most podiums then Wyrmblade and Pathfinders tie for 3rd. Chaos Cults continue the trend of dominating a single event but going positive in wins overall instead of winning all events.

For our GT+ results, Fellgor continue to show their dominance with a 65% winrate. Starstriders also do really well (which everyone should ignore *heavy cough*), at 59% showing they are much better in long-form play. Kommandos go up to 59% with 322 games…Troupe are 58% and then Gellerpox at 57%.

Intercession finally drop-off with a 44% winrate, Breachers at 43%, Justian at 41%, Scout Squad at 40%, and Kroot at a depressing 37%.

When looking at podium data, Kommandos crush everyone with 10 podiums and 10 undefeated players. Pathfinders join tie for 2nd-most podiums but with the 2nd-most undefeated players. Wyrmblade and Novitiates join Pathfinders whereas Fellgor and Corsairs claim 3rd place for podiums.

Stats Show Overview

So overall, it’s great to be back! In my video I go over every month in-depth but I’ll be focusing on January for now. The main consistent trend has been Kommandos. The most popular faction where they only once got below 55% winrate in the past 7 months. Even outside of winrate and popularity, they have been dominating tournaments from podiums to undefeated runs. This is even with the nerfs. Clearly the team is still a problem and we’ve never had a single kill team dominate the game for so long and so consistently.

Among Kommanods, Chaos Cult and Fellgor may still be problems too. Chaos Cults are still over-performing despite several nerfs while Fellgor was doing well before being buffed and are now the most successful Kill Team in the game for December and January. Quite crazy in retrospect.

Access to the GT+ results also shows some teams perform much better in long-play, namely Elucidian Starstriders. January GT+ results was where they over-performed but they did a similar thing last year too, just an interesting observation. LVO 2024 also seems to have been the exception as Blades of Khaine did not do well while Kasrkin did very well but the stats show the opposite.

One main good point is that we are now seeing even more events and players! America has also claimed the crown for most monthly events and we see more countries again every month which is all great to see!

But that’s pretty much it for now. Thanks to HotSauceTeddy and my new stats man Smiles, Lies, Gunfire and let me know what you thought of the stats! What would you like us to improve upon etc.

Remember to also check out my Discord as well as my Patreon too if you want to give me some more support!

So until next time, no matter what the stats say, remember you can always win as long as you can roll a crit!
