Back with the stats show for Kill Team!
Welcome to today’s Warhammer 40000 Kill Team article where I cover the global March 2024 tournament stats! I go over all the tournaments for the month as well as a new data segment for Kill Team majors! Check out to see all the March data and if it justified the latest balance changes for the game!
I’ve also done this as a more in-depth YouTube video which you can watch here:
Stats Disclaimer
Once again the standard caveats apply for the stats. All collated from BCP (Best Coast Pairings). If you don’t use BCP, just contact us with the details and we can add them in! Big thanks, as always, goes to my new stat man Smiles, Lies, Gunfire who’s collated all the data and who this wouldn’t be possible without! Remember, if you share the stats and images, just remember to credit him and me as it helps us both out.
As for other data, we also rank draws as 0.5 instead of a 0 or a 1.
Also if you are a TO who is hiding teams and final results in BCP, please make it all public after the event is completed. Hidden events make it harder to track as we effectively have to manually check the event to ensure it’s all correct.
March 2024 Stats

For March, Fellgor remain the top dogs at 62%, followed by Quins, Chaos Cult, Inquisition, Warp Coven, Gellerpox and Wyrmblade. With under-performing teams we have: Kroot, Exaction, Hunter Clade, Breachers and Justian.
Blades of Khaine hold steady while Scouts have their best month ever. Pathfinders also borderline on the edge of being okay, which is only set to rise as Bheta-Decima gets forced on more.

For event data, we’ve included a new placement metric which covers the top 15% of an event. This scales better instead of having top 10 at each event as top 10 values much differently in a 16 player event to a 120 player one. We also still have data for factions that won events as well as placed in top 3 at each event to try and holistically balance out just winrates alone.

GT+ events continue with Fellgor dominance at 62%. They are joined by Warp Coven, Quins, Gellerpox, Hierotek, Wyrmblade, Corsairs and Blooded! For factions doing badly we have: Intercession, Breachers, Kasrkin, Scouts, Hunter Clade, Justian and Exaction. Somehow Kroot do better in this format along with Hierotek and a surprise showing from Blooded.

Once again all the placement data for GT+.

Smiles, Lies and Gunfire has come up with a new stats metric, GT Long! This covers events with 5 or more rounds with 30 or more players! This is to basically represent the major events Kill Team has now our community has grown to regularly run such large events. It better represents the difference between shorter and smaller events, showing how the more competitive side of the game does from teams and players.
Gellerpox top out at 73% but with only 15 games. Fellgor sit at 64%, Hierotek 64%, Blooded 64%, Vet Guard 62%, Novitiates 58%, and Kommandos at 58%. For the losers side we got: Chaos Cult at 43%, Hunter Clade 42%, Breachers 42%, Starstriders 42%, Corsairs 41%, Intercession 39%, Exaction 35%, Scouts 33%, Justian 12.5%.
We obviously have more of a swing here do to the smaller pool of games but it shows some very interesting trends. Starstriders and Corsairs who were doing well suddenly under-perform whereas Vet Guard and Gellerpox shoot up. Very interesting data overall.

Placement data for GT Long.

Here’s the updated performance matrix for March, charting how each team does overall from all the results.

With a smaller pool than before, here’s all the Compendium data for March.
March 2024 Stats Overview

Overall, March was a reflection of the meta of the time. We did have 1 week of data using the new balance dataslate changes but not enough to affect overall standings. Warp Coven did really well pre-buff. Gellerpox did well this month too although with a lower usage rate. Quins kinda did crazy well and Fellgor did Fellgor things. Scouts even had a good month overall too!
Hunter Clade and Breachers continue to do badly for some reason while Exaction drops down after 2 months of doing pretty well.
Pathfinders are doing worryingly well too and may become a huge problem over the next 3 months. We also have the Nemesis Claw and Mandrake Kill Teams dropping soon who will undoubtedly affect the meta too!
But that’s pretty much it for now. Thanks to my new stats Smiles, Lies, Gunfire and let me know what you thought of the stats! What would you like us to improve upon etc.
Remember to also check out my Discord as well as my Patreon too if you want to give me some more support!
So until next time, no matter what the stats say, remember you can always win as long as you can roll a crit!
