Kill Team: October 2022 Tournament Stats

Reviewing the global tournament stats for Kill Team in October 2022!

Welcome to the October Stats Show for Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team where I cover all of the global tournament data for Kill Team! Let’s dive into the stats and see how the game has evolved over the last month!

I’ve also done this as a more in-depth YouTube video which you can watch here:

October 2022 Stats

Once again the standard caveats apply for the stats. All collated from BCP (Best Coast Pairings) and events that their TOs have submitted to us. Big thanks, as always, goes to Hotsauceteddy who’s collated all the data and who this wouldn’t be possible without!

Global Data

Globally we’ve had slighlty less games than last month with Spain regaining the crown from USA for most events. Still, we have a great spread of games and events from around the world.

Results-wise, Void-Dancer Troupe claim the crown for most successful faction with 7 tournament wins and a 56% winrate. Intercession, Hunter Clade and Gellerpox all claim 6 event wins too with respectable winrates. Notably Hunter Clade had a 60% winrate up until the last week of October while Gellerpox have a 65% winrate. Intercession are now the most popular faction globally with the highest representation rate we’ve ever had.

Phobos continue their losing streak, Warp Coven did slightly worse with their buff, Kroot hit a solid 30%, and even Kasrkin and Hierotek Circle land in at the 30% mark.

Month-by-Month Results

Month-by-month results continue to show the trends. Gellerpox rise up while most factions continue to do the same. Notably, the underperforming factions continue to do, well, badly. Phobos have a worse winrate with their dataslate buff and for 4 months in a row, have failed to get above a 40% winrate.

Intercession, with their reduced winrate, continue to dominate while Veteran Guardsmen have a super rough October.

Winrate vs Popularity

Once again this marks out wins vs popularity. Green is the health 45% to 55% winrate. Orange are the danger zones of 56% to 60% and 44% to 40% respectively. Anything above or below either needs nerfing or buffing as appropriate. Most bespoke teams hit the healthy ranges sans the ones I’ve already mentioned.

October Average Points Scored

This is a new section, gathered from how many points a team scores when they win, lose and draw. Nothing too concrete but an intereat look nonetheless. RIP Kasrkin though.

October Stats Tier List

Once again we continue with the monthly kill team rankings based on the stats. Only looking at Bespoke and White Dwarf teams. Remember, this isn’t 100% correct but it’s pretty telling that the 3 newest kill teams are ranked the lowest from their global stats. Low key Phobos win 🤣

On the other end we have Void-Dancer Troupe ranked 1st with Gellerpox and Pathfinders as 2nd and 3rd.

October 2022 Stats Overview

While the stats overall remain mostly healthy, you can easily argue that October was the game’s worst month with 6 bespoke teams getting lower than a 40% winrate. Gellerpox and Breachers are spiking up but mainly from Into the Dark events that are solely ITD or mixed.

The meta looks like it’s starting to unravel as we now have several teams that need good buffs. We still need November to get a full trend but a lot of these teams with less than 40% winrate have been doing so for months. Just a shame considering how balanced everything was from the stats for the last 2 previous months.

Still, we have some big tournaments coming up for November. We have the Games Workshop final in New Mexico, the 94 player Spanish tournament and the 40+ player New York Open. It will be interesting to see what happens at those events.

But thanks goes to Hotsauceteddy again who makes all this possible. Remember to also check out my Discord as well as my Patreon too if you want to give me some more support!

So until next time, no matter what the stats say, remember you can always win as long as you can roll a crit!
