Escape from the Dreadfane!
Welcome to my product review of Champions of Dreadfane. This is a special boxed set featuring the two warbands Ironsoul’s Condemnors and Lady Harrow’s Mournflight. As always thanks to Games Workshop for providing this warband for me to review for free. Now onto the review!
Narrative
The Dreadfane was a laboratory of the Karophranes that become corrupted by Nagash, twisting it into an arena and prison of dread. Prisoners ended up fighting endless battles with numerous traps and calamities. After what seemed like an eternal time Ironsoul’s Condemnors have broken free from their prison but the undead Lady Harrow and her Mournflight have followed them through into the Beastgrave, spreading their curse of eternal live ever further.

Champions of Dreadfane is the worldwide release of the previously territory exclusive Warhammer Underworlds Dreadfane. While it lacks the fixed boards and event cards of that set it does contain the two warbands and two 32 card faction decks allowing you to play both easily in games of Warhammer Underworlds internationally. In addition the fighters and cards all feature the up-to-date wording started in Beastgrave so there will be no wording clashes.
Final Thoughts
After you’ve read each warband review I think Champions of Dreadfane is a great product, although I do miss the dropped content from the original Dreadfane box set. It is such an amazing intro product to Warhammer Underworlds and I especially loved the event cards. Still Champions of Dreadfane is a really good purchase for those interested in more warbands to play with, you have the best ever warvand Ironsoul’s Condemnors as well as the foreboding Lady Harrow’s Mournflight.
